Moradabad - The Brass City of India

Moradabad is one of the most industrially flourishing cities in India. It was set up by Prince Murad in 1600 Ad and hence it is called Moradabad. It is made up of two words, "Murad" and "Abad". Murad is the name of the Prince and Abad means setting up. So the city which is set up by Prince Murad is Moradabad.

Moradabad is situated on the banks of River Ram-Ganga which is a tributary of the Holy Ganges. The city is settled at a distance of 167 kilometers from the Indian National Capital i. e. New Delhi. The city has passed straight through the hands of discrete dynasties.
