Polo Comes Home

Polo Comes Home Video Clips. Duration : 1.48 Mins.

Trent Television Productions has made a film of the International polo match, Wales V South America, at the Glanusk Estate in Crickhowell, Mid Wales. The July 2009 event featured the first Welsh team to play polo in the first match played in Mid Wales for over a century. The full film is available on DVD. Visit www.reddogmedia.biz The first civilian polo club in Great Britain was set up in Monmouthshire in 1872 not far from the Glanusk estate so this was truly a case of polo coming home. Over 4000 people flocked to the Legge-Bourke family's Glanusk Estate to watch Argentinian professional polo players Oscar Mancini and Daniel Otamendi play for South America against a Welsh team that included polo stars Tarquin Southwell and Richard Blake-Thomas. The film includes interviews with the players and the Legge-Bourke family plus footage of their beautiful family home. Heres a much lower quality trailer to give you an idea. Call 01497 842998 or e-mail trenttelevision@btinternet for information. Photographs taken at the event are also feature on YouTube.
